However, I'm now taking control of the Tiger Section project. Due to Mac OS X Tiger, Apple covered about 16 of the market. For lengthy multi-track projects, we recommend a minimum of 4 GB RAM and 4 GHz processor. Audacity runs best with at least 2 GB RAM and a 2 GHz processor. On Apple Silicon Macs Audacity runs in Rosetta. I’d recommend TenFourFox, which has the updates and the core of modern Firefox but is compiled by an independent person to still run on OS X. Audacity is for Macs running macOS 11 Big Sur, 10.15 Catalina, 10.14 Mojave and 10.13 High Sierra. The Tiger section concept has sat idle while larger projects (like the El Cap/Sierra theme, truck repairs, and MDD and Quad woes) have taken up much of Gavin's time. First, you are NOT limited to the browser that ships with Mac OS X 10.4.11. As anyone who has visited the website in search of software, most of it is meant for Leopard, leaving those in search of apps for their Tiger installs in the dust.
